Gordon sex offender sought for failure to register

Authorities are looking for a Gordon man charged with failure to properly register as a convicted sex offender. 

Houston County Sheriff’s Investigator James Brazier said deputies are looking for Ree Morris Dixon, 37, on charges he moved without permission. Investigators charged Dixon with a single felony violation of the community notification act. 

Brazier said Dixon was originally convicted of first-degree sex abuse of a 9-year-girl along with an unrelated conviction second-degree sex abuse of a 10-year-old girl. He said Dixon’s last known address was on Curtis Mixon Road in Gordon.
