Greene County man charged with sex offender violations after move to Henry County

Henry County Sheriff’s investigators arrested a 39-year-old Eutaw man on two felony charges he failed to properly notify authorities he was a convicted sex offender, said Sheriff’s Investigator James Culbreth.

Investigators charged Jimmy Bell with two felony violations of the community notification act. He was charged with failure to notify and with moving into a residence with minors in it. He was charged with moving into his girlfriend’s home in Henry County, which also had six minors under the age of 16 living in it.

Bell was being held at the Henry County Jail under a $30,000 bond. Bell, who last lived in Greene County, was convicted in 2002 of felony first-degree sex abuse, according to the Alabama sex offender Web site.
