Knife incident reported in Ashford

Authorities are on the scene at a residence in Ashford where somebody was reportedly cut in their throat with a knife.
Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes said deputies and Ashford police were called to the 200 block of Cosby Road shortly before 10 a.m. The call was of a possible cutting. Once on the scene, they discovered a female with a minor cut to the neck. She was treated at the scene.
“We do believe this was an isolated incident,“ Hughes said.
Six unmarked sheriff’s investigator vehicles are on the scene, along with one marked patrol car. The incident took place at a doublewide mobile home.
A tracking dog is being brought to the scene to help search for the assailant, who fled out the back door.
