Dothan man charged with stealing shoes

Dothan police arrested a 35-year-old man Tuesday and charged him a robbery from Sears during which, according to court records, he stole a pair of Reebok tennis shoes.

Investigators charged Phillip Kevin Johnson, of Deerpath Road, with felony third-degree robbery. Investigators charged Johnson with stealing the shoes from the store located in the 600 block of West Main Street on Jan. 12.

According to a police statement, police arrested Johnson during a traffic stop on Cottonwood Road.

Johnson was taken to the Houston County Jail and held on a $50,000 bond.
