Ozark gas station catches fire
OZARK — Workers escaped injuries during a fire at an Ozark fuel station on Wednesday, but the source of the fire had yet to be found.
According to Ozark Police Chief Tony Spivey, emergency and fire crews were dispatched to Colliers on U.S. 231 around 1:15 p.m. in response to a fire that spread to the top of the building.
Spivey said the few workers in the facility escaped with no injuries and that the fire did not spread to any of the fuel pumps.
“A state fire marshal is enroute to determine the cause. Luckily, the only damage here appears to be from smoke, heat and water,” Spivey said.
Spivey said damage was mainly contained in the attic and roof part of the building.
The fire remained under investigation.
