Traffic stop by state trooper nets drug arrest

An Alabama State trooper charged a Dothan man with unlawful possession of prescription pain medication.

Court records show the state trooper charged Edward Copeland, 37, of Melrose Lane, with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Copeland was arrested during a traffic stop on Saturday near the intersection of Judge Logue Road and Cumbie Road. The state trooper seized four Lortab pills.

Copeland was taken to the Houston County Jail and held on a $2,000 bond.

This is crazy, 4 pills this officer should be given a reward and it should be called (The I ain’t got nothin to do reward). This is where our tax money is going. Get a clue State of Alabama.
