Two charged with felony drug possession

Houston County Sheriff’s investigators arrested a Dothan pair Tuesday on felony drug charges.

According to court records, deputies arrested Walter Russell Hagler Jr., 36, and Carley Elaine Helms, 28, both of West Powell Street, and charged them each with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Records showed deputies arrested both people on North Beverly Road and seized some cocaine and Percocet during the arrest.

Both people were taken to the Houston County Jail and held on a $2,500 bond.
