Two Dothan convenience stores robbed over weekend
Dothan police responded to separate armed robbery calls to Dothan convenience stores over the weekend. No one was reportedly injured in either of the robberies.
Investigators were first called Friday to a robbery around 8:45 p.m. at the Shell gas station and convenience store in the 3300 block of West Main Street. According to a police statement, a man who wore black clothing and a ski mask robbed the store while armed with a handgun. The man reportedly fled the business on foot.
Police were called around 10 p.m. on Valentine’s Day after a man with the same description robbed the Citgo Food Mart also located in the 3300 block of West Main Street. The gunman in the second robbery reportedly left the store in a gold Ford Explorer.
Police Capt. Steve Parrish could not say whether the two robberies were related.
Anyone with information about the robberies can call the Dothan Police Department at 615-3000 and Crime Stoppers at 793-7000.
