Dothan Police investigators arrested four Wiregrass men and a juvenile Thursday on first-degree robbery charges, according to a press release from Dothan Police Chief John Powell.

Investigators arrested 20-year-old Quadarius McSwain, of McKay Street, around 7 p.m. after he turned himself into the Dothan Police Department.  Authorities have also arrested Gregory Antonio Patterson, 18, Lamar Rayfelle Pearson, 23, Derrick Oshawn Johnson, 22, and a 15-year-old Dothan juvenile, according to Powell.

All five individuals are charged with first-degree robbery. McSwain was arrested on four counts, Patterson on two and the others on one.

The juvenile has been transferred to the Southeast Alabama Diversion Center, while the adults are being held at the Houston County Jail.

With the arrests, police have closed the cases on five robberies: two of the Beeline Store at 409 E. Newton Street, two of Hobo Pantry at 2409 Reeves Street and one of the Shell Food Mart at 3206 Montgomery Highway.

According to Powell, the investigation, a joint effort between the Dothan Police Department, Dale County Sheriff’s Department and Houston County District Attorney Doug Valeska, is ongoing and other charges are pending.
