An Ashford woman was killed early Saturday morning when the car she was driving on US Highway 84 left the roadway and hit a parked truck.
Thirty-three year-old Shanda Oliver died on the scene near American Inn on the highway from blunt force trauma to the head, Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd said.
Byrd said it appeared Oliver lost control of the vehicle in the eastbound lane before the vehicle went down into a culvert and back up, hitting a parked truck that was for sale off the highway. Oliver’s vehicle then spinned around and hit a pile of wood, Byrd said.
