Nearly four months after a motor vehicle crash that left six people dead, the Houston County District Attorney has released the blood alcohol level for the driver authorities said was at fault.
District Attorney Doug Valeska said a toxicology report recently released by the Alabama Department of Forensics showed that Adam Wayman had a BAC level of .135 at the time of the crash. The legal limit in the state of Alabama is .08.
The crash on Nov. 19, 2007, happened U.S. 84 near Highway 123 near Wicksburg, and it claimed the lives of five members of Siran Stacy’s family. Stacy and his young daughter survived, but were hospitalized.
Preliminary reports from state highway patrol investigators said the accident was alcohol related when 29-year-old Adam Wayman crashed the pickup truck he was driving into a minivan driven by Stacy, which carried six of his family members.
