A Daleville man who was on parole for his involvement in a stabbing last summer was charged with murder in the stabbing death of an Enterprise man on Sunday.
Daleville Police Chief Ronnie Williamson said Jeremy Lee Rose, 27, was charged with murder on Monday after he allegedly stabbed 46-year-old Calvin Baker to death with a knife after a fight on County Road 31 in Daleville.
Williamson said Baker jumped out of a vehicle with another man in front of the Daleville Police Department around 6:30 p.m. Sunday and yelled for help. Officers started first aid on Baker but an ambulance crew already at the department confirmed he was dead, according to the department.
The man who was with Baker fled from the scene but was brought back to the department by his mother for questioning and then released.
Williamson said Rose was later found stabbed at the residence and transferred to Flowers Hospital.
He was on parole for his involvement in a stabbing in July 2007, Williamson said.
