Coming off a major tour with Taylor Swift and gearing up for performances with Alan Jackson, the country music foursome Gloriana is on an exciting ride.

The group’s debut self-titled album, “Gloriana,” was released in August and has produced two singles — “Wild at Heart” and “How Far Do You Want to Go?”

The album, currently at No. 32, peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Country Album chart.

Barely three weeks off their tour with Swift and less than a week away from their gig with Jackson, Gloriana will step onto the amphitheater stage today during the National Peanut Festival. Gloriana’s performance will be followed by Eric Church, whose latest album, “Carolina,” has had its single “Love Your Love the Most,” reach No. 14 on Billboard’s Country Songs chart.

Gloriana is made up of Rachel Reinert and Cheyenne Kimball and brothers Mike Gossin and Tom Gossin. The Gossin brothers — having played music since they were young — moved to Nashville in late 2007 from North Carolina with hopes of breaking into the country music scene.

“We saved up money and immediately started looking for people to play with,” Mike Gossin told the Dothan Eagle in a telephone interview.

They found Rachel on her music MySpace page, loved her voice and approached her about playing with them. Six months later, the trio were playing at a Nashville club. Cheyenne, who previously had a MTV reality show based on her musical pursuits, was there with her manager. She approached the group after the show and asked if she could join them.

“I would say it was fate how it happened,” Mike Gossin said.

The four-part harmony was born — Mike on vocals and guitar; older brother Tom on vocals and guitar; Rachel on vocals; and Cheyenne on vocals, mandolin and guitar. The four — who range in age from 19 to 28 — have shot their second music video and are writing material for their second album.

Gloriana will join Taylor Swift for the second leg of her “Fearless” tour in 2010. Mike said the group is excited because touring with Swift and Kellie Pickler was like summer camp, and the performers all became friends.

“We really had to up our game being a new band on a tour like that,” he said. “ ... They’re like some of our best friends.”
