Fire destroys vehicle, home, sets off ammunition

A Wicksburg home suffered severe structural damage Friday after a fire broke out in a vehicle and spread into the trailer.
The fire started in a vehicle, moved to the shed, then spread to the home at 391 Pine Acres Drive, according to Wicksburg Fire Chief Paul Grimes.
Some form of ammunition was in either the car or the home, which led to loud explosions as the fire trucks neared.
“About the time we got our hoses out, the explosions did stop,” Grimes said.
Nobody was injured in the blaze, and the cause is still unknown.
