Gas prices up as Gustav impacts Gulf

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - AAA Alabama reports gas prices continue to climb.
Regular unleaded is up one cent from Sunday and 8 cents from Thursday’s pre-Labor Day prices. The statewide average is $3.61 a gallon.
The national average, according to AAA, is $3.68.
Midgrade fuel averaged $3.77 while premium costs $3.88 a gallon. Diesel prices fell a half-cent overnight to almost $4.16.
Huntsville has the cheapest metro average for regular at $3.56. Mobile has the most expensive at $3.70 a gallon.
