Hartford teen recovering after being hit by car
Hartford police say a 13-year-old girl remains hospitalized after she was injured earlier this week in a bicycle accident on Alabama Highway 52.
Hartford Investigator Kristin Atwell said the teenager was struck by a vehicle while she rode a bicycle Monday evening. Atwell said police and Geneva County Sheriff’s investigators continue to investigate the accident, which happened near the intersection of Alabama Highway 52 East and Shiloh Road.
Atwell said the girl’s condition at Flowers Hospital has been improving.
Atwell said charges were not likely to be filed in the accident.
