Sunny days again
For the first time in a week, it’s a nice day to be outside.
Coming off the heels of several severe storm systems and a cold front that finally passed through late Thursday night, the Wiregrass is in for some sunny days.
Bryan Mroczka, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, said Friday will be a much-needed “drying off” day, followed by a nice Saturday.
“Friday will have gusty north to northwest winds and temperatures in the 70s,” he said. “Saturday will be a very nice April day, mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the lower 80s.”
Some more storms are expected to pass through Sunday night, but the good news is the system is now predicted to be a minor one.
“Right now, indications are that this does not look to be a significant system, and it won’t be containing as much rain as this last one,” Mroczka said. “A normal front will pass with some showers and thunderstorms. Then we’ll get a pretty good chill for April coming behind the cold front at the beginning of next week. There will be well-below-normal temperatures, but we’ll have fair weather.”
