Disappointed by commission
I read in the Eagle a few days ago about of some residents requesting to speak before the Houston County Commission regarding the desirability of the proposed country music park. It is my understanding that they were not allowed to speak and were told that they could speak only at the administrative meeting of the county commission.
Looking out for students
The recent controversy regarding Rehobeth PTA and Rehobeth Elementary School does raise several concerns. Speaking as a 33-year veteran of public school, specifically the Houston County School System, I can say that no allegations of inappropriate behavior or conduct will be taken lightly or ignored and will be investigated fully.
Part of Dothan’s Fortner Street to be closed next week
Fortner Street just east of Brannon Stand Road will be closed next week from Monday morning through mid-day Wednesday, March 26.

More information sought on Country Crossing
The recent front-page article in the Eagle certainly cast a positive light on the proposed Country Crossing complex designed to rival Branson, Mo. This may well be a project of great benefit to Houston County and the surrounding area.
