Disappointed by no-show mayors

I’m writing to you with regard to Fort Rucker Appreciation Day, Oct. 24, 2007. I was there and it was a good day.

Mayor Simmons in Geneva did an excellent job. Leslie, the community person for Fort Rucker, was also excellent. Several mayors were there, but I was disappointed that my mayor for Hartford was not there. Neither were the mayors of Slocomb and Samson.

One day a year is a little thing, and we need to show support and encourage our military.
Next year, please try to go to Fort Rucker to show support.
