Curious about GOP committee
I knew an ol’ country boy from the Wiregrass who has been thinking about running for Congressman Terry Everett’s job since he plans to retire. However, the ol’ country boy needs some answers to some questions first before running as a Republican.
Does the Republican candidate for Congress need to be interviewed by “the committee” that potential candidate Charles Nailen said he has met with? Is a fee or a huge political war chest required before meeting with “the committee?”
How did these people get on “the committee” and who are the members of “the committee?”
Can “the committee” guarantee that the voters of Congressman Everett’s district will support candidate chosen by “the committee?”
A story in a recent Eagle makes it appears that “the committee” has rejected Mr. Nailen and selected someone else.
A good slogan for “the committee”: “Lost in Montgomery — lost in Washington.”
Wait until those school students at Rehobeth who elected their student government officers by who raised the most money see the new way to get elected by “the committee.”
Please print the answers to above questions so ol’ country boy can make a decision.
