Letter: ‘Gentlemen don’t go to strip clubs’
Published: November 1, 2009
One definition of gentlemen, according to the American Heritage College Dictionary, is: A well-mannered and considerate man with high standards of proper behavior.
I think that would imply a respect for women.
With regard to the Oct. 29 article in the Dothan Eagle about the gentlemen’s club that cannot serve alcohol, even “bring your own,” it is because this gentlemen’s club is actually a strip club.
So, this gentlemen’s club is really a gentlemen’s strip club — women are stripping —which I think is the ultimate oxymoron.
What “gentleman” of any character would frequent a strip club?

Oh, and Gay guys generally don’t have a problem with the female body as long as they don’t have to make love to it.
Most Gay men that I have known(and I used to live in Northern California so I have known a few), generally love women and have great respect for them…as long as they show respect for themselves….
Really people, have you never been to a Drag show? Geez….
You know, to heck with it all…2012 is coming and we are all gonna be toast anyway…a big solar flare is gonna come and turn us all into big lumps of coal and this will all be a moot subject anyway.
EAT DRINK AND BE MERRY FOR TOMORROW WE SHALL DIE…or something like that…
Most people do enjoy viewing a nice looking naked woman. Unless of course they are a homosexual man or an insecure female. Seems they are the only ones against it.
I have always liked a good-lookin naked woman! It keeps my heart beatin!
How do you figure a man is disrespecting a woman that chooses to dance naked by watching her dance? You’re stating a man isnt a gentleman is he looks at a naked woman .In that case i doubt there’s a “gentleman” on this planet.
