Letter: Not another bum!

In the Nov. 6 Dothan Eagle, Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Johnson claims that Gov. Bob Riley accepted campaign donations from the Choctaw Indians to limit gambling in Alabama between 2002 and 2006. Of course, the governor’s office dismissed these claims.

Why is Bill Johnson coming out now instead of anytime between 2002 and 2006? I am willing to bet that Bill Johnson’s response would be something to the tune of “it wasn’t a problem until now.”

Is Country Crossing developer Ronnie Gilley contributing or is planning to contribute to Johnson’s campaign?

The problem here is simple: We have an aspiring politician standing on an issue only when it suits him. This was not an issue until the issue itself became news.

Is this the kind of politician we want? Don’t we have enough bums in politics?

It really dont matter if you vote republican or democrat. Both parties are no more than puppets on strings being operated by the same puppeteers.I’m amazed that the citizens in this country are still so gullible as to believe that the general public elects our leaders by a popular vote.Half this country still think the federal reserve is the federal government too. Some even think oswald killed JFK with some magic bullets .

I’m glad somebody besides myself saw this hypocrisy…  I vote republican, but it is wrong to bring to light something like this only when it is beneficial to yourself.  He should have blown the whistle right when he became aware…  NO integrity and no vote from me…
