Letter: Taking aim at the ACLU
Published: November 5, 2009
Recently, Frances and I purchased tickets for a pancake breakfast at Applebee’s sponsored by the fifth grade at Emmanuel Christian School. The clear objective for the project is to make a trip to Washington, D.C.
We have a high level of appreciation for Emmanuel Christian School. Seeing the work of the students and faculty in serving us during the breakfast helped to raise our level of appreciation for the work of Emmanuel Christian School.
This raises the question of whether we will have enough support to move the American Civil Liberties Union out of the controlling position in our schools. The removal of prayer, Bible reading and study in school events are the results of the ACLU leadership.
Emmanuel Christian School has a good dress code and no problem with rough gang activities. Make a comparison with the schools in Chicago, where the president of the United States calls home. In recent weeks, several youths lost their lives. One was simply walking home from school, his path taking him between the location of two gangs.
How long will it take us to turn the corner toward seeking to do right in education?
Let this be a challenge to all to get involved in standing against the ACLU and its golden objectives.
May God help each reader of this letter.

Morris Dees was a con man just like MLK was. He preyed on uneducated blacks for donations that he used as personal income. Occassionally he would file a lawsuit to make headlines. Many of those suits were settled before they ever went to court. Not the the defendants were wrong but they usually just settled with dees . All he wanted was money and the headlines to begin with .The money was for his personal use and the headlines were needed to continue conning the fools that donated more money to him. He did some good things for the black man but his main thrust was for himself and no one else.
Patriot , if you really want to know who controls this country , goto youtube and watch the videos titled Zeitgeist. There’s several different videos with multiply parts. It shows you where the real power sector in our “democracy” is. This country was never founded as a democracy , it was founded as a republic and then transformed to a democracy . Democracy is no more than socialism. People defend the usa being a democracy. the truth is a democracy does more harm to basic human rights than it does good. For example the nazi party was elected into power by a democracy.Would anyone dare claim that America is thus fundamentally similar to that regime, and that it is perfectly acceptable to kill controversial philosophers or to exterminate six million Jews, so long as it is done by popular vote?
Oh yea as far as our current president .
Mayer Amschel Rothschild said, “I care not what fool sits on the throne, as long as I control the money supply. ...
that still applies in the 21st century too. Obama is no problem for most peoeple. He’s just another talking face with words put in his mouth. Just like all presidents are !!
Patriot , their cause was to assure equal rights to all citizens but at that point in time it was mainly directed at the rights of blacks. The churches were the bases to organize. Thats never been a secret. Their defense of the the 1st amendment is what caused the church bombing and burning of the 60’s.The church was the only place at the time that blacks could unite together for a common goal. Thats why i say religion was used . Do some research and you’ll find i’m right.
The ACLU was formed in the 1920’s and basically was defending the 14th amendment at that time. Since the 14th could not suppress the jim crow laws by the late 50’s , they then targeted the 1st amendment . i agree that the ACLU now defends the rights of all people no matter what race although they still center on mainly minorities rights being violated.
Everything stated above is very easy to document . If you find anything in error that you can correct me on then please do so. I stated in my earlier post that the ACLU defended anyones civil rights , so why did you question me on that point? As far as being paranoid , stating facts is not being paranoid is it? I believe all people should have the same rights. But i do not believe in reverse affirmative action and reparations for harm inflicted on persons 100 yrs ago.
And what exactly do you mean when you say “...the civil rights movement USED religion as a base to expand ‘their’ cause…“?
I believe that civil rights is a cause shared not just by Blacks, and certainly “the civil rights movement” did not have to USE anyone.
The ACLU backs anyone whose civil rights have been infringed upon, be they religious, or Atheist, Black, White or Other, gay or straight, liberal or conservative.
Why are you so paranoid?
The ACLU has never been strictly for the protection of Black people.
You might try checking out their website for a more accurate history of this organization.
Another organization that is often demonized by insecure White people who are afraid of, well, I don’t know what exactly they are afraid of but they are scared…anyway, it’s the Southern Poverty Law Center out of Montgomery. Morris Dees is one of my biggest hero’s and inspirations.
The work of these organizations, especially here in the south, is still extremely relevant and very needed. Minorities are facing a serious backlash from those “powers that be” that have a real BIG problem with there now being a “Black” president, even though he is half white, too…It’s kinda like the Jewish thing in Germany…even if you were a tiny little bit Jewish from waaaaaaaay back, you were still Jewish. And we all know how that worked for them.
We also know how things worked out for the thousands of Japanese folks who were round up and interred in America’s very own concentration camps. True, they for the most part were not beaten and tortured or killed en masse, but the fact still remains that they were indeed concentration camps and the Japanese American citizens who were interred there suffered a great offense to their civil rights as Americans. I am uneducated as to the role of the ACLU in this matter, but I would hope that they helped and sued the poo poo out of the American government for what was done to them…
Oh and by the way…you insecure scared White folks Do know that the “A” in ACLU stands for “American” and not “African”, right? You all seem to only reference their work with Black people in your diatribes so I thought maybe you were confused.
The AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION”.
Heck, I guess it could be the “UNION” part that bothers you though, too, eh?
The ACLU is not a christian organization.Although they do support religion. They were originally founded during the very beginning of the civil rights movement back in the 1920’s to represent blacks . Their foundation is to defend constitutional rights for all americans these days , but its original purpose was to protect blacks first amendment rights. The civil rights movement used religion as a base to expand their cause and the ACLU defended religion due to its underlying purpose. Over the past yrs the ACLU has did many good things for all americans but even to this day their purpose is to defend blacks that have been possibly discriminated against.
patriot.gyrl65,
Thanks for your last post. I believe you when you say that a lot of self-proclaimed Christians have hurt you. Heck, it happens everywhere everyday. And you are right, Christians can be overbearing and pushy, almost trying to “cram religion” down other peoples throats (especially the street corner type of preachers).
And that is unnecessary. I believe the reason Christians do this is because they are fearful they will lose everything. They are scared that one day in America, churches will have to meet in secret like they do in China. But one thing Christians ALL OVER need to realize is this: Jesus actions were out of love. He never forced religion on anyone. He acted out of pure EXAMPLE. If more Christians today could show their faith through actions instead of words (and preaching to people) then there would be a lot less grief.
Patriot.gyrl, I know you will agree the worst thing is when you hear a self claimed Christian telling others the right way to live and then the next week they are arrested for DUI or whathaveyou. My point is Christians need to live by example and not WORDS. They need to be HUMBLE.
I can imagine how you must feel inundated being that there is a church on every corner in the South. Hang in there patriot.gyrl. We’re all not that bad ![]()
And no this is not your “Pinget”...I am patriotgyrl65, that is the only screen name I have ever used, anywhere.
Dose of common sense,
Now that you bring it up, I have noticed that. But lets not speculate that they are the same person. Recent comments about Christians from patriot.gyrl seem extremely vicious while pinget’s comments were more of little jabs. The thing is some people intentionally abuse this site by coming on here with the prime motive of stirring a hornets nest instead of commenting about the article at hand. They know this is the Bible belt, so they try to see who they can make angry with snide name calling. Then when they make a Christian mad they rejoice in that fact and it adds fuel to their anti-Christian fire. It’s a shame a few Christians have done things to them to make them turn against all Christians. They must forget that NOBODY is perfect. They should keep the name calling to themselves because if their children decide to become Christians one day then they will have to eat their own words. I’ve eaten many of my own words throughout my short life but I have learned to keep remarks such as these to myself. Isn’t everyone in our country supposed to believe in the word “CHANGE”? I only hope some of the bickering on this forum will CHANGE for the better. And maybe people will start following the rules of this website:
