Letter: Unwelcome serenade in parking lot

I enjoy going to one of our local convenience stores and having someone pull up right beside me with their music volume on about a 92 out of a possible 100. I especially enjoy it when they leave their $300 car running as they walk into the store, and their music is still on that 92 range. It makes me feel all warm inside listening to the gibberish coming out of windows that are on the verge of exploding in my face.

Seriously, what is with everyone who thinks it is so cool to leave their car running and the music screaming while they go into the convenience store? Do they think that we all enjoy hearing their lovely brand of music? Is it some kind of new way to attract the opposite sex? Do they believe they will impress everyone at the convenience store, and will make a new best friend? Do they want the whole world to know they are so self-confident that they are daring someone to steal their car?

Just pull up, park the car, turn down the music and turn the car off. Nobody cares what you are listening to.

BOWHUNT, we have something in common…I live next door to a store too.
Hey we might be neighbor’s.
But yeah, that racket bothers me too…We had a newspaper delivery guy awhile back—every morning he would pull up to fill the newspaper boxes BLASTING his music…and when I say morning, I mean when-it’s-still-dark kinda morning…Drove me crazy…
Not as crazy as some a you folks of course…lol
Sorry, couldn’t resist.

What we need to do is record that crap (audio and video) and sign warrants for distributing the peace. Or businesses need to do like i do , tell them to turn that **** or or get off my property. I dont put up with it at my business.

i aqree !! But i do get a good laugh out of it in a way. They got a 300 dollar car, 2k in a set of 22’s and a 1k sound system.  That reminds me of the fools that put a hundred dollar saddle on a 10 dollar horse.

i totally agree.  I live next door to a store and sometimes the music (or noise) rattles my windows.  they get out to wash their cars and turn the crap up so they can hear it outside the car.  But not only can they hear it, i can, too.  Trunks rattling like they are about to come off the car. And to make it worse its the most vulgur stuff that is being played.  I dont want my children hearing that crap, but what choice do i have?
