‘Who is paying Neal Boortz?‘

» 36 Comments | Post a Comment

Either Neal Boortz thinks all his listeners are really, really stupid or he has finally lost his marbles.

Back in 2004, I had proposed that since this country is not designed for $4 gasoline (I actually did say four dollars), we need to start slowly increasing the tax on gasoline and use the money to support a public transportation system.

Now that we have $4 a gallon gas, how and why are Boortz and that two-legged dog of a talk show host, Dennis Miller, out supporting the big oil?

The Republicans have never had a shortage of small time crooks to be their mouthpieces. From a convicted perjurer in Col. Oliver North to the convicted burglar in G. Gordon Liddy to drug abuser Rush Limbaugh to Dick Morris, who became famous for cavorting with prostitutes and now the new and improved Dennis Miller, it is hard to believe that someone would really take these clowns seriously, but here we are.

I hear these guys lamenting how the Big Oil is being portrayed as callous, as how to figure out the profit margins, and how Democrats are out to kill their business. Let me assure you that I am not voting for Obama or for McCain, I will only tell you the truth and let you make up your own mind about the presidential candidates and your talk show hosts.

I am sworn to protect this country against the enemies, foreign and domestic.

So who is paying Neal Boortz?

Hey Mo!

Oil isn’t the only need, how about water?

Do you ever think the areas of this country should tax KOOL-AID to build proper water treatment plants?

These talk show hosts have soemthing going for them, a desire to live under A free market, NOT GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY CHECKS FOR OIL!

I seriously doubt that Boortz is being paid anything by the oil companies - but I would be willing to bet that Boortz is holding a considerable amount of oil stock. By defending the oil companies from increased taxation, he is looking out after his own profit.

Herman Cain, a crony of Boortz’ who frequently fills in for him and also has his own radio show on Boortz’ home station WSB radio in Atlanta spends even more time than Boortz defending oil company profits.

Not too long ago, Cain was out of town for a week, and Cain’s fill-in host let it slip that Cain was attending an Exxon Board of Directors meeting - so Herman Cain is far from objective when it comes to discussing oil profits.

If you had a clue about economics you would know that “slowly increasing the tax on gasoline” is “slowly” going to pass the tax onto the consumer.  The “big oil” companies are not paying those taxes, those of us who buy the gasoline pay the extra taxes.  Taxes are passed onto the consumer, not the producer.  Maybe the government education you received forgot to teach you real life economics during the time you wasted in government school.  Keep counting on the government and you get what you deserve, $4 a gallon gas.  Public transportation?  Please.  Why not just raise the tax rates for using public transportation and tax those who use it, not everyone else.

Mohammed N. Razavi posted “I am sworn to protect this country against the enemies, foreign and domestic.“ This appears to be a paraphrased version of the oath taken by the military. The oath is to protect and defend the US Constitution.

That being said, where in the Constitution does it grant government the authority to fund public transportation thru taxes?

There are 2 major factors in the increase in the cost of oil/gas. First, is supply & demand. China and India have become major users. Increased demand causes increased price. But more importantly, is the fact that the US is inflating the money supply (fiat money), thus making each dollar worth less. So, it now takes more of them to purchase a barrel of oil. Neither factor is under the control of the “oil companies”. I am not a fan or an antogonist of the oil companies. But I am impressed by their ability to find, drill, import, refine oil and deliver gas to my neighborhood station at an affordable cost DESPITE the policies and taxes imposed by government.

Mohammed N. Razavi should know that since Obama has not yet been elected that we are not yet a Marxist nation. “Big Oil” controls less than 5% of the oil market. Too bad Mohammed N. Razavi is ignorant of the law of supply and demand or he would realize that if demand rises and supply does not then the price will ALWAYS go up. Why has supply not risen? Because Democrats and environmental whackos prevent us from drilling where the oil is offshore, in oil shale in the Rockies, and in the desolate tundra of a tiny section of ANWR less than a hundred miles from Prudhoe Bay in Alaska. Did Mohammed N. Razavi notice that when Bush finally lifted the presidential order banning offshore drilling that the worldwide price of oil dropped over 10%? Supply and demand. Before Mohammed N. Razavi spews more ignorance and further embarrasses himself I suggest that he take a basic, non-Marxist, economics course or read a good economics book such as Freedomnomics. I feel sorry for this fool.

First, just as Mr. Razavi believes Boortz or Miller are mouthpieces for the GOP there is an abundance (Mr. Razavi for one) of mouthpieces for the socialist, I mean, Democratic party.  All personal attacks and cordials aside, this issue goes deeper than “supporting big oil”. Rather these gentlemen are supporting American business and capitalism.  You can’t fault a company for making to much money, that’s what they do.  Capitalism and free enterprise is what makes the American Dream possible.  If we start attacking capitalism we start attacking the American Dream.

Unless “big oil” has used illegal tactics to earn their profits, which I believe no one has made that case, we simply cannot say making to much money is a crime or immoral.  People have to remind themselves that we live in a free society where, to use a Democratic term, “Working Class Americans” and businesses alike make profits and spend there profits the way they like with out the government telling them how to spend their money or telling you that you make to much money.  Come on people, how ridiculous does that sound?

I believe that it is you who has lost his marbles. Slowly increasing tax on gas so we can have public transit? If you want to see how well public transit works, take a trip to Atlanta and ride Marta. You will change your mind about public transit before you even reach the next stop. Increasing taxes on gas? There is only two ways that will turn out. 1. The taxes will be passed on to the consumer, which will raise $4 gas even higher. Or 2. To make up for the increase in cost to produce and sell the gas, oil companies will start laying people off. Great idea you have there. How about we take out all the extra taxes that Congress has added? Oh and if you want to “tell me the truth”, please stop playing the Big Oil and Wealth Envy cards. Middle class citizens such as myself can see right through it and it really is starting to tick us off that you and other “reporters” like you “think your readers are really, really stupid.“

Well, lets disect this article shall we…
In 2004, you proposed… Who would care what your opinion is? People want news, which technically is supposed to be facts about a subject free of bias. You want to raise the cost of fuel forcing people to public transportation? Well, you obviously do not a single thing about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights with that kind of socialist thinking trying to use government to force everyone to submit. Now, all the characterization you make of the people in your column, just remember that Dems are worse and there are a lot more of them and I am NOT a dem or republican. Do you know what a profit margin is? You say you will not vote for either candidate, but think you still believe this “Windfall” bologna. If you did know what a profit margin was, you would realize that if their margin is so small then who IS actually raising the oil prices??? No one cares about your truth, the truth ha too many viewpoints, try giving the facts, I know it would actually require “research” and you are too busy to actually do that, but give it a shot next time. Last thing, You are sworn to protect eh? I actually hope that is just a quote you are using and that you are not actually in the military because I have enough to deal with on a day-to-day basis.

Mr. Razavi would like us to believe that if we taxed fuel at higher and higher rates it would suddenly make fuel fairies appear and fill up our gas tanks. We don’t live in a socialist utopia where everybody is taken care of nor would I want to live there. Mr. Razavi does not want to play the whodunnit name blame game. I would venture to say that with a name like Mohammed Razavi that not is his statement racist towards whites, but he also does not have Ameerica’s interests at heart.

When I start hearing liberals start offering real solutions to real problems maybe then I will listen to them. One more thing Mr. Razavi, when was the last time you worked for a poor person? Oh that’s right, never. It is a rich person who signs my paycheck. You tax them to death, I don’t get new workers I need to help me get my job done.
