The third-ranked Bulldogs (2-0, 1-0 Class 1A, Region 2) jumped on the 10th-ranked Eagles (0-2, 0-1) right from the start, scoring on the game’s opening kickoff and on every possession in the first half. They built a 20-0 advantage by the first quarter and 34-0 at halftime before cruising to the win.

Smiths Station outmuscles Northview
SMITHS STATION — Cody Hussey showed Friday why first-year Smiths Station coach Mark Rose moved him from wide receiver to quarterback.
Hussey, a senior, passed for 156 yards and a touchdown and ran for two more as the Panthers (2-0) outmuscled Northview (1-1) 44-21 in the Class 6A Region 3 opener for both schools.
