The homecoming dance was scheduled for after Providence’s game against Donoho Friday night, but the Eagles did some waltzing of their own, scoring early, often and easily in a 56-0 blanking of the winless Falcons.

The third-ranked Bulldogs (2-0, 1-0 Class 1A, Region 2) jumped on the 10th-ranked Eagles (0-2, 0-1) right from the start, scoring on the game’s opening kickoff and on every possession in the first half. They built a 20-0 advantage by the first quarter and 34-0 at halftime before cruising to the win.
