Tide kicker allegedly assaulted in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA — Alabama placekicker Leigh Tiffin was allegedly assaulted in downtown Tuscaloosa.

Tuscaloosa Police spokesman Capt. Greg Kosloff said Tiffin was assaulted from behind while walking at about 2 a.m. Wednesday. He said a witness to the assault drove the senior kicker to the hospital.

Tiffin was treated and released for minor injuries. Kosloff said police had no suspects as of Wednesday afternoon and nothing was stolen from Tiffin. He said Tiffin was not implicated of wrongdoing in “any form or fashion.”
