Registration open for football camp

Troy University head football coach Larry Blakeney invites children ages 6 to 13 to join him Thursday, June 4, on the field at Rip Hewes Stadium in Dothan for the sixth annual Larry Blakeney Troy University Football Camp.

Coach Blakeney and his staff will help participants improve in the areas of running, passing, pass protection and zone coverage during the one-day camp.

The morning session, which is designed for students in first through fourth grades, runs from 8 to 11:30 a.m. The afternoon session, which is for those in fifth through eighth grades, is set for 1 to 4 p.m.

Camp sponsors include the Troy University Wiregrass Alumni Chapter, Carr, Riggs and Ingram, CPA; ScreenTech, CenturyTel, Holiday Inn Express, Dairy Fresh, Dothan Leisure Services, WOOF 99.7 FM, SportsTalk AM 560 WOOF “The Ball,” Photorama and Burger King.
