Troy’s Lang accepts invite to Senior Bowl
Troy strength and conditioning coach Richard Shaughnessy said that defensive end Brandon Lang had accepted a bid to play in the Senior Bowl. Lang had previously committed to the Jan. 23 East-West Shrine Game in Orlando, Fla., and could play in both if he chooses.
The Senior Bowl is on Jan. 30 in Mobile at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Lang will likely make a decision, and if he picks one, he’ll play in the Senior Bowl, Shaughnessy said.
Fellow defensive end Cameron Sheffield has accepted a spot in the East-West Shrine Game.
He and other Trojan seniors haven’t heard from other all-star games, though quarterback Levi Brown and linebacker Boris Lee have great shots to get into games, Shaughnessy said.
Lee plays after surgery: Lee had arthroscopic surgery Monday on his left knee to clean out some minor damage, but returned to play Saturday against Florida Atlantic, though he came out early after the Trojans went ahead by several scores.
