STRAUGHN — Straughn clinched the Class 3A, Region 1 title with a 28-6 win over Luverne as quarterback Josh Dewrell ran for 79 yards and a score and kicked four extra points.

Providence Christian rallies for win over Pleasant Home
PLEASANT HOME — Providence Christian used a blocked punt and a long fourth down touchdown pass to rally from a 13-point deficit to defeat Pleasant Home 14-13 Friday night at Eagle Field.
Ashford loses to Alabama Christian
ASHFORD — It didn’t take Ashford head coach Chip Harris long to point to the turning point Friday night in Ashford’s 21-13 loss to region foe Alabama Christian. It came one minute into the second quarter. Alabama Christian led 7-0 on a clock-eating, 13-play drive in the first quarter.
Pike County rolls past Daleville
The opportunistic Bulldogs benefited from five Daleville turnovers and dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the football, clinching the region championship with a convincing 34-0 victory at home Friday night.
