Headland advances to title game
ENTERPRISE — At the 14-year-old Dixie Boys baseball sub-district tournament, Headland beat Ashford 17-12 Saturday in an elimination game. Headland plays Enterprise tonight at 6 p.m. and needs to win twice to win the championship, but both teams advance to the district tournament in Dothan beginning July 7.
Shelby Farmer got the win. Chase Jenks went 4-for-5 with a home run, three runs and three RBIs. Thomas Hudspeth went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored.

Dothan Post 12 falls in finals
LARAMIE, Wyo. — At the Dooley Oil Classic championship, Dothan Post 12 fell to Cheyenne, Wyo., 5-2. Losing pitcher Josh Martin pitched six innings, giving up just three earned runs and striking out three. Brennan Olive had a double with two RBIs.
