Post 12 wins a pair

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Dothan Post 12 rebounded from a shutout loss Thursday with a pair of wins Friday at the Independence Day Classic, earning a 13-0 win over Bordentown, N.J., and a 15-6 win over Shelbyville, N.C.
In the opening win, Kyle Brown led Post 12 with a homer, two doubles and three runs batted in. Jake Harrell had two hits, one a double, and drove in two runs, Monterio May had two singles and two RBIs and Brennan Olive had a triple and an RBI.
Cale Nolen picked up the win, earning a two-hit shutout with two strikeouts in a complete-game, five inning performance.
Against Shelbyville, Robert Anderson had two hits, one a double, with three RBIs, Zach Payne had two hits, one a triple, and two RBIs and May had two singles and two RBIs. Also, Olive had three singles and Payne Palmer two singles.
Chris Barrentine picked up the win, striking out three in two innings.
