USA Today Coaches Poll is out

And, from the looks of it, Notre Dame has five more votes than any Sun Belt team. Unfortunately, that 3-9 team from a year ago has five total votes.

HERE is the link to the poll and the coaches who vote on the poll. Last year, it was pretty much a joke, especially the ones that picked Hawaii as high as they did.

Anyone surprised that no Sun Belt schools got a vote? I thought Florida Atlantic would have a vote or two.

Sun Belt coaches in the poll are FIU’s Mario Cristobal, UNT’s Todd Dodge, FAU’s Howard Schnellenberger and MTSU’s Rick Stockstill.

From the latest practice report, looks like good things from the cornerbacks, especially Trevor Ford. I’ve got a story on the offensive line planned for Sunday (which is a good day to run because they go in full pads that day) and hope to be at practice Monday, but the coverage will be a plentiful here so keep coming back.

Some other links of interest. The Lafayette (La.) Daily Advertiser looks at Sun Belt growing success against out of conference schools. From Murfreesboro, MTSU is reporting
