Bad news for Troy QB commit

Troy quarterback commitment Luke Barnes suffered a torn ACL last week. HERE is a story on it from a Florida newspaper.
Barnes had broken Danny Wuerffel‘s school record for career touchdowns and passing yards. There’s a chance he could be ready to go next fall, but I bet he ends up grayshirting and enrolling in Jan. 2011, to give that knee more time to recover without really losing a year of eligibility.
Barnes and Mississippi Gulf Coast CC quarterback Greg Jenkins are Troy’s quarterback commits for next year. If Jenkins holds true to his commitment, he’s expected to enroll next spring and join the QB battle.
