Chat Thursday night

We haven’t chatted in a while during the week, so I’ll bring it back this week. We’ll go Thursday night at 8 p.m. CST. I’ll post the chat link right before time and send out a twitter update when it’s live. It will be a similar format to the Troy-ULM game chat.

He’s redshirting this year, that was decided a long time ago. When you’ve got three guys as good as Tavares Williams, Sherrod Martin and Terence Moore, you’ve got to keep them on the field as much as you can and that meant putting Moore at the nickel. He’s big enough to be a linebacker also, so he just stays in the game. They wanted McDowell to have a chance to get more snaps next year in case they go back to the traditional 4-3 defense.

Drew, I was looking at the depth chart and was wondering about David McDowell. What’s the word on him? I know we’ll need a bigger presence against the run this week…
