Signing Day updates

Troy announced 27 signees, with another one, defensive end Antonio Harper, sending in his paperwork late today.

Harper signed with Miami out of high school, but went to Hargrave Military School. He was going to re-up with Miami, but didn’t have his grades there. It’s a situation similar to Brandon Lang, who first signed with Georgia.

The kid’s got a few stars by his name, which makes fans happy.

On a few more signees

CB Bradley Wallace - “I had him rated as the top high school guy we were recruiting at that position.“

CB Mike Robinson - “He’s a big, big corner that can run a very low 100-meter electric time.“

CB Sergio Perez - “I was really impressed with him as a young man.“

CB Barry Valcin - “He’s a community college corner that’s an impressive looking young man that our coaches know a lot more than I do about him.“

I’d have to go back and look what all Troy lost, if anything. DT Montavious Williams signed with South Alabama, but Troy coaches weren’t expecting him to qualify academically.

I’ll get more up later, including video interviews with OC Neal Brown and DC Jeremy Rowell, as well as grayshirt QB Corey Robinson.

Probably Sunday afternoon or Monday morning - I don’t want to hide it among the basketball stuff, nor do I want to ignore basketball because that team is doing so well.
