New Orleans pitcher Justin Garcia took a no-hitter into the eighth inning and UNO broke open a 1-0 game with five in the last two innings. Troy got a run later but fell 6-1. Not a good showing for the Trojans against a team that can definitely hit, but pitching is shaky, although sophomore RHP Tim Wheeler appeared to have pitched real well until he ran out of gas in the eighth.

Here is the game story with a couple of quotes from Troy head coach Bobby Pierce from troytrojans.com

Trojans and Privateers go Saturday at 6 p.m. I’ll be there for the last two games of the series.
