Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame next week

If you’re interested, spots for the golf tournament and next Saturday (June 7) at the Dothan Civic Center, three Troy coaches are being inducted into the Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame.

The three are head football coach Larry Blakeney, head men’s basketball coach Don Maestri and defensive ends coach Randy Butler.

Anyone can attend the banquet and dinner Saturday - so long as you pay $30.

Also, there are still spots available for the Golf Classic on Friday at the Highland Oaks Golf Course in Dothan. It’s a four-person scramble. You can register this week, or from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The shotgun start is at noon. Cost is $100 per person, but it’s a 4-person team, so it’s $400 per team.
