The Stephen Ministry of Covenant United Methodist Church, 3610 W. Main St., Dothan, will host a series of grief seminars for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, a divorce, a job loss, health issues, relationship trouble or other life-changing event. Meetings continue with “What to expect in grief” on Nov. 8; “How to help someone who is grieving” on Nov. 15; and “There is hope” on Nov. 22. Meetings are 5-6:30 p.m. in Room C-116 of Covenant’s Christian Life Center.

Special guest will be Joe Wood, a former military chaplain. A Harvest Day luncheon will follow in the church’s ministry building.

A community interfaith Thanksgiving worship service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1380 W. Main St., Dothan. Father Patrick Gallagher of St. Columba Roman Catholic Church will preach with leaders of other faith communities participating in the service. A free will offering will be taken for the Wiregrass United Way Food Bank. Refreshments will be served in the parlor after the service. All area clergy are invited to process into the sanctuary together.
