Festival of Trees benefits children's home

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The Wiregrass Children’s Home Festival of Trees will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m. at the Dothan Civic Center. The event, which is in its 10th year, is the largest annual fundraiser for the children’s home — a nonprofit home for abused and neglected children.

Decorated Christmas trees will range from the whimsical to traditional and even themed. Other items featured at the event include holiday items, trips, jewelry, dinners, furniture and accessories. Tickets are $50 and include a live and silent auction along with heavy hors d’oeuvres.

The Wiregrass Children’s Home is located in Houston County and serves boys and girls up to 18 years of age who have nowhere else to go. It is a Christian home, set up to provide a loving, home-like environment.
