Grimes Gospel Lighthouse, 1512 County Road 25, Grimes, will host Crowns of Grace of Ashford at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20. An offering will be taken. Sunday church services will be at 10:30 a.m. Everyone welcome.

Calvary Baptist Church, 267 Metcalf St., Cottonwood, will host the Wiregrass Southern Gospel Choir on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m. Free event. Call (334) 791-1576 or (334) 797-0282.

Victory Tabernacle Church, 10005 E. State Highway 52, Hartford, will hold a benefit bluegrass gospel sing in support of Brother Roy Rogers on Saturday, Aug. 20, beginning at 1 p.m. Rogers recently had surgery. Special guests include The Webb Family, Cornerstone, The Jenkins Family, the Benton Brothers, and Straight and Narrow.

The Coffee County Baptist Association will hold its annual Prayer Walk on Saturday, Aug. 20, beginning at 9 a.m. People from all denominations and all walks of life are encouraged to show up at a city or county school and pray for our children, teachers and staff. Leaders will be on site at all Elba City Schools, Enterprise City Schools and the Coffee County Schools. The Enterprise Community College and Enterprise Preparatory Academy will also have an on-site leader.

Christian Home Church, 2278 County Road 61, Hartford, will hold a gospel concert on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m. The concert is hosted by The Glovers and will feature Ed and Barney Qualtlebum. For more information, call Terry Glover at (334) 805-3955.

Bethlehem Baptist Church, 416 Bethlehem Road, will hold “Christmas in August” on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 3 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. The church will be giving its featured missionary family needed ministry and personal supplies. This year’s missionary family is the Herrin family (Jon, Jeanne, Jesse, Megan and Andrew), who serve as border missionaries in McAllen, Texas. Elaine Herrin Onley, mother of Jon Herrin, will be the guest speaker. Guest soloist will be Donna Weed. All ladies of the church are invited to attend and encouraged to bring their favorite Christmas recipe to share at the meeting.

Klondyke Gospel Music Center, located halfway between Newton and Ozark at 3885 Highway 123 S., will host the following performers: Ron Brewer Summerville, Ga., Saturday, Aug. 20; Classic 4 Quartet of Nashville, Tenn., Aug. 26; Scott and Peggy Fowler of Luverne, Aug. 27. Free admission. Concert begins at 7 p.m.

Roof Top Ministries will host Come to Jesus Meetings with live worship, dramas and grass roots preaching every first and third Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Lazy H Livestock Auction on U.S. Highway 84 in Wicksburg. For information, call Pastor Ronnie Wilkerson at (334) 237-2225.

Shady Grove Baptist Church #2, 1547 Lucy Grade Road, Dothan, will host a Men’s and Women’s Celebration on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Sister Martha Coachman.

Mount Moriah AME Church, 2482 Highway 165, Eufaula, will honor the church’s pastor, the Rev. Thomas W. Fortson II, on his 11th pastoral appreciation on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Henry E. Green III of Greater St. Mark AME Church in Columbus, Ga., will be the special guest.

Highfalls Assembly of God, 3507 County Road 41 in Hartford, will hold its annual Homecoming service on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ed. Wilson will speak during the service, and The Hendersons will minister in song. For more information, call (334) 588-6968.

Restoration Church of God by Faith in Ashford will hold its Annual Missionary Day on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 3 p.m. The speaker will be Prophetess Deborah Chamberlain of New Birth Church of God by Faith in Andalusia. Everyone is invited.

Grant Chapel AME Church in Ashford will host its annual Women’s Day program on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 3 p.m. Sister Tracy Horn of Hines Chapel AME Church in Dothan will deliver the message.

Maple Avenue Baptist Church in Geneva will hold revival services Sunday, Aug. 21, through Wednesday, Aug. 24, with Sunday school high attendance day on Sunday. There will be a covered dish lunch following the Sunday morning services. The Rev. Dan Raley, pastor of First Baptist Church, Slocomb, will be the revival speaker. Music will be lead by the Rev. Bruce Spivey of Hartford Baptist Church. Sunday revival services will begin at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday services will begin each night at 6:30 p.m.

Faith Deliverance Ministries of Berachah Inc., 1310 W. Carroll St., Dothan, will host a one-night revival service on Aug. 26 at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Mechelle Little of Dothan.

Vanderbilt Holiness Church, located on Coffee County Road 114 about 1 mile past Wayne Farms, will host a gospel sing featuring Broken Strings on Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. For more information, contact Bo Smith at (334) 894-5021

The Dothan-Eufaula District of AME churches will hold an awards and recognition banquet on Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. at Lake Point Resort in Eufaula.. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased from local pastors. For more information, call (334) 308-1400.

Harvest Church, 272 Fortner St., Dothan, will host the third annual Project 56, an area-wide preteen conference on Saturday, Aug. 27. Preteens (fifth- and sixth-graders) and leaders from the Wiregrass, Florida and Georgia will enjoy awesome worship music, drama, games, small group discussions, lunch, snacks, and inspiring teaching.
