The Southeast Alabama Camellia Society in cooperation with the American Camellia Society will hold its 2012 camellia show on Saturday, March 3, from 1 to 4 p.m.
The show will be held in the Family Life Center at First United Methodist Church, 1380 W. Main St., in Dothan. Admission is free, and the show is open to the public About 30 growers from several states will be represented, exhibiting new and old varieties. Blooms from protected areas and unprotected areas will be displayed. Varieties will also be for sale.
Anyone wanting to enter blooms for judging should have them at the church between 8 and 10:30 a.m. to have them registered. Entrants should know the names of their blooms. A new category has been created this year for novice growers who have never won an award.

The Southeast Alabama Camellia Society meets at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday between the months of September and May at the First United Methodist Church in Dothan. Speakers regularly share information on grafting, air-layering and how to plant and care for camellias.
