NEW ORLEANS – A daily diary of our trip to the Big Easy…. What a sight it was to see as all of the players and coaches from Alabama and LSU gathered in the Superdome on Friday morning for separate interview sessions.
The day started early with morning interviews, which is good news for us. The earlier the better. While our Tide beat writer Ken Rogers stayed back at the media hotel to interview selected Alabama players and coaches, I decided to board the shuttle and head over to the Superdome to catch a little of LSU’s practice session.
The little girl had never played softball, which made it even more thrilling for Gene Dews to share in her excitement when she connected cleanly with the ball in the training facility.
