Federal agents recently arrested two people, referred to as U.S. Postal Service employees, and charged them each with the delay or destruction of mail.
Records show agents arrested Thomas James Rivera on Oct. 2, and charged him with the destruction or delay of a letter, package or postcard which came into his possession while he served as employee of the postal service. Rivera was charged with committing the crime between Dec. 16 and Dec. 23, 2008, in Coffee County.
Agents also arrested Aaron Marie Kelly under a similar federal statute. Kelly was charged with the destruction or delay of letter or package while working as an employee of the postal service between July 2007 and April 16, 2009, in Chancellor.
It’s unclear if their charges are related.
