Teacher in scuffle will not face disciplinary action

»  Comments | Post a Comment

A Dothan Technology Center teacher will likely not face disciplinary action concerning an alleged scuffle between himself and a student.

Dothan City Schools Superintendent Sam Nichols said actions taken by Sam Perryman in the scuffle were defensive, and that no disciplinary action was necessary.

The city schools administration will hold a meeting involving Perryman, the student and the student’s mother on Friday.

Nichols said Perryman got into an altercation with a student after the student demanded a cell phone back that had been confiscated.

The student has been suspended, Nichols said.
