Note to whomever wrote the Jan. 19 editorial, “Rush Limbaugh Should Be Ashamed”: People like you are the reason the American people don’t trust the news media anymore.

This editorial is just the kind of yellow journalism one would expect from the National Inquirer, not a local newspaper.

Rush Limbaugh is a commentator. You, “my friend,” are also a commentator, only you’re on the side. Another difference between you and Rush is that you obviously form an opinion before checking out all the facts. Or perhaps, you meant to take what Rush said and then quote it out of context.

Like I said, this is the reason why the American people don’t trust the news media anymore.

As for Pat Robertson, I used to defend him, too. But in recent years, he has been making some completely off-the-wall statements, only to have you people happily report it because you believe, as he believes, that he is the leader of the “religious right.”

My biggest peeve with Robertson now is that he seems to have joined your side when it comes to so-called “global warming” and “climate change,” which the rest of us simply call, “the weather.”

Being a televangelist, you’d think that Pat Robertson would know that only God can affect the earth’s climate, not man. And has he forgotten that all you “global warming” and “climate change” alarmists are also pro-abortion, pro-sterilization and pro-euthanasia population-control fanatics?

I thought Mr. Robertson was pro-life. Anyway, you guys on the left, you can have him. We will gladly take Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin any day.
