Nearly two days after a gunman shot a Dothan woman to death during a robbery at her business, police are looking for any information leading to an arrest in the slaying.

Dothan Police Capt. Steve Parrish said police have taken a digital traffic enforcement sign to South Park Avenue to list the city’s Crime Stoppers number of 793-7000, asking people to call in with any information about the murder.

Police have said at least one gunman shot 69-year-old Grace Bridges to death during a robbery Wednesday afternoon at her business, Dedert’s Furniture and Antiques, located on South Park Avenue near Fortner Street.

Police and Houston County Sheriff’s deputies stopped three men traveling in a purple car near downtown and took them in for questioning Thursday evening, but Parrish said they were later released. No charges have been filed in the murder.

Parrish said police also subsequently served two search warrants during the early morning hours of Friday, including a residence in the Chaplewood community of Dothan.

Houston County District Attorney Doug Valeska has offered an $11,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest in the murder.
