Ashford couple faces meth charges

Houston County Sheriff’s investigators recently arrested an Ashford couple on methamphetamine charges, including the exposure of drugs to a 5 -year-old child.

Court records indicate investigators arrested William Jason Herndon, 30, and Christina Lynn Herndon, 32, both of Glenn Lawrence Road. Records indicate investigators charged both people with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance and felony chemical endangerment of child.

But investigators also charged William Herndon with felony first-degree manufacture of a controlled substance after a meth lab was found at a residence in the 6500 block of Glenn Lawrence Road last Friday.

Sheriff’s Capt. Antonio Gonzalez confirmed the two people were a couple.

Records indicate William Herndon was taken to the Houston County Jail and held on $175,000 bail for the manufacturing charge. Christina Herndon was held on $15,000 bail for the chemical endangerment charge, and $2,500 bail for the illegal drug possession charge.
