The body of a man who worked in Dothan was found in northern Henry County early Sunday, according to authorities.

According to Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd, the body of 24-year-old Jarvis Daffin was found north of Headland in Tumbleton early Sunday. Byrd said Daffin was not from the area but had been working in Dothan for some time and was engaged to be married.

His body has been transported to Montgomery for an autopsy and authorities are continuing to investigate.

A statement from the Dothan Police Department said multiple agencies were involved in a homicide investigation. The statement also asked that anyone with information about the case contact the department or Dothan CrimeStoppers at (334) 793-7000.

No other information, including whether arrests had been made, was available early Sunday.
